With adidas rolling out the latest version of Predator, they have also launched their full range which includes the Nemeziz, X and these beauties, the COPA. The COPA 20+ as part of the new launch has been given this fresh new colourway, to form part of what adidas is dubbing the ‘Mutator Pack’. The colourway for the COPA is consistent with that of the new Predators, with these adopting the traditional Pred colours of black, red and white for what is adidas’s first launch in 2020.

The star of the show with these launches is of course going to be the next-generation Predator (and rightly so), but at The Curva, we are a huge fan of the COPA. Firstly, the COPA 20+, adopts the same “Active red/White/Core Black” colourway as the Predator as we mentioned before, with the other boots that have been launched as part of the ‘family pack’, the Nemeziz 19+ and X 19+, taking on a contrasting blue colourway.

The COPA 20+ features a red leather upper which fades into the black of the heel of the boot. These feature the customary and iconic white Three Stripes too, with the soleplate seeing a black and red splash effect.

We think that these are a great option for those players that are making the transition from the ‘traditional boot design’ to the in vogue ‘sock boot design’. The leather upper appeals to those that are more used to ‘mixing it’ in the team, and with the ‘Mutator Pack’ featuring a laced model in the form of the 20.1 we can imagine your Sunday League Lee Cattermole’s marauding around in these like the midfield lynchpin they truly want to be.

In terms of the pros that are going to be wearing these we hear the notable names include Paulo Dybala and Joao Felix, so you’re in good company.
